The biennial meeting of the Speech Prosody Special Interest Group (SProSIG) of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA) will take place in Shanghai, China from 22nd to 25th of May 2012. As an interdisciplinary conference by nature, Speech Prosody 2012 especially welcomes papers that adapt qualitative description with quantitative analysis, and papers that adapt models of prosody to communicative situations. The 5th Language and Technology Conference, a meeting organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland in cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation, will take place on November 25-27, 2011.

The next INTERSPEECH conference will be held in Portland, Oregon USA from 9 - 13 of September 2012. The deadline for paper submission was scheduled on 01.04.2012. More information is available at the conference website.

The yearbook Speech and Language Technology (SLT) has been pubished by the Polish Phonetic Association for almost 40 years (at the beginning under the title "Speech Synthesis and Analysis"). The first Editor-in-Chief was prof. Wiktor Jassem, the second (and present) - prof. UAM Grażyna Demenko.
All published work is reviewed by a committee of experts in linguistics and computer science:
